kairos
Kairos is the concept of an advantageous point in time to make an argument or point. There are many elements connected to it. Kairos also has to do with opportunity or a relevant time to make a point. Many questions can be raised when considering kairos; Is the argument valid in the current situation? Is it being purposed to the right audience? Will the audience be able to relate to position you have in a argument? In simpler terms,(or as I can simply understand). A proposition without kairos would be asking someone to borrow his/her cars right after you wreaked yours. The timing to ask to borrow a car would be bad immediately after wreaking your car. It is important to consider kairos when making an argument, because it helps to make it at the right time and place, so that the argument is best effective. Considering a current political issue for the current presidential election such as whether to continue the war in Iraq, one can see it is a current issue as we are currently in the war. The audience is American citizens who apparently care about the issue because Americans are the soldiers having to fight. And if you are not a soldier you are connected to one.
